TIPS AND INFORMATION FOR A SUCCESSFUL ZOOM EXPERIENCE

  • All sessions will be recorded and posted for participants to review or to view other sessions. If you do not wish to be recorded, keep your microphone muted and video turned off during the workshop
  • Participant microphones will be muted as a default, the chat window will be the primary tool for participant comments and questions
  • If your microphone is on to participate in a conversation, be mindful of background noises and avoid activities that could create additional noise, such as shuffling papers
  • Position your camera properly, and be sure it is in a stable position and focused at eye level, if possible. Doing so helps create a more direct sense of engagement with other participants
  • Limit distractions by turning off notifications, closing or minimizing running apps, and muting your smartphone.
  • Avoid multi-tasking to retain the discussion better. Refrain from replying to emails or text messages during the workshop
