Through a partnership between New Hampshire Learning Initiative and Southern New Hampshire University, graduate credit is available for your work with NHLI and West Ed on formative assessment. These graduate credits are further verification of your learning in and application of competency-based education practices and enhance your professional profile.
The transferable graduate credit option at Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) lets you transfer college credit to the university or matriculating degree program of your choosing. This credit is generally accepted at all accredited universities, pending its approval. You will have the option of an official university grade that’s accessible through an easy to use transcript that follows the accrediting guidelines of the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). Once your registration form has been completed with SNHU and payment has been confirmed, you will receive information about accessing your official university transcript.
SNHU recognizes the in-depth hours of learning and application that you put into your learning with NHLI on Formative Assessment and has determined that the full cycle of practice and applied learning – including documentation of work on the course Schoology site - equals 3 graduate credits. Each credit costs $120 and once you have registered for this course, SNHU will send you information on payment options. Payment goes through PayPal and so your payment confirmation/receipt comes from PayPal. Once you are registered, SNHU sends you an email with information on your SNHU log in and how to access grade reports and transcripts, which are on the MySNHU page, when you log in as a student.

Your applied work with NHLI Formative Assessment must be documented on the SNHU Schoology site. If you don't have a Schoology account, or you'd like to create a new one specifically for this purpose, please feel free to set it up HERE.
When you have verified with Mariane Gfroerer (mgfroerer@nhlearninginitiative.org) that you are registered with the course, you will be sent a code for the Schoology course site. You must submit a personal reflection (minimum – one page) after EACH day you are in attendance (3 times – Jan 17, and Mar 27, May 15). This paper should be a genuine, authentic reflection of your growth through the activities and experiences if this learning series after each of these benchmarks. These reflections are private and are read only by Mariane/Jonathan. More information will be on the course site.
These submissions satisfy the college’s legal requirements to verify attendance, participation and application for the awarding of credit.
