Susan “Sue” Downer has been an educator for the past 25 years. In her current role she teaches Chemistry, and AP Chemistry at Souhegan High School in Amherst, NH. Sue is currently a chemistry content lead for the State of New Hampshire’s pilot project for Performance Assessment for Competency Education (PACE) , She was a keynote speaker and workshop presenter at the NH Science Teachers Performance Assessment Symposium in 2018. She is a member of the American Association of Chemistry Teachers and the NSTA. Sue is the 2019 State of New Hampshire Presidential Awardee (PAEMST) and is currently a finalist for the National Award.
