During this interactive Zoom meeting the participants will be exposed to the parallels between numeracy and literacy. Learn, share and discuss how literacy strategies can be used to support and strengthen instructional approaches in facilitating mathematical learning. Additionally, the participants will familiarize themselves with the NHDOE’s online Grants Management System (GMS) as a resource for acquiring professional development funding.
Participants will understand that there are parallels between numeracy and literacy; Participants will learn the tenants of language instruction can be applied to strengthen mathematical strategies; Participants will be introduced to the relationship between mathematical content and the NHDOE’s Grants Management System of the Title II, Part A program for professional development.
