Powerful Learning Conference 2020: S2-X Student-Driven Pathways: Using AWATO

S2-X Student-Driven Pathways: Using AWATO

Friday, July 17

Session 2

1 -- 2:30 (ET)

Blue Student-Centered and Personalized Learning Red Competency-Based Learning Green Special Education

Student-driven pathways need to start with students learning about themselves and using tools that facilitate that exploration. AWATO is an adaptive career platform funded by the NH Department of Education to assist each and every incoming 9th grader in NH to begin their journey. Then it comes down to the educators in a student’s life to assist them in wayfinding multiple pathways to reach their goals.  Come join us in exploring AWATO from a student perspective and collaborate on the potential ways data can be used to meaningfully connect students with opportunities.

Participants leave with an understanding of Why AWATO in NH?; Participants will actively participate in taking AWATO to truly understand the tool; Participants will explore applications in their own contexts.
